About Us
Ei koskaan eläkkeelle ry is a registered non-profit association based in Lahti. The association was founded to promote community, active living and sharing of expertise, including among retired and experienced actors. We act as a bridge builder between different generations, communities and actors – because we believe that experience is a resource that enriches everyone.
What we do
- We organize community events, workshops and meetings.
- We participate in local cultural and well-being projects.
- We offer opportunities for volunteering, mentoring and project activities.
- We support lifelong learning and sharing of expertise.
Our activities are shaped together according to the interests of our members and partners – the most important thing is that everyone has the opportunity to participate.
Projects and collaboration
The association has been involved in a wide variety of projects and collaboration networks.
Locally, we have participated in cultural and community projects in the Lahti region, where we have highlighted the importance of experience and expertise.
Internationally, we have participated in Erasmus+ projects, the themes of which have been:
- lifelong learning and active aging
- intergenerational knowledge sharing and volunteering
- community projects promoting well-being and culture
- topics related to the environment and sustainable development
The projects offer our members the opportunity to participate, learn new things and showcase their expertise both domestically and internationally.

Our activities are open to anyone who wants to continue an active and meaningful life in or outside of retirement. You can participate in events, get involved in projects, volunteer or bring your own ideas to the common use. Every contribution is valuable – together we build an active community.
